Our Elders
Pastor: Alan Bondar
Alan is the pastor of New Covenant Eyes Church. Previously, he was a Youth Director for almost a decade in the PCA denomination. Alan’s theological background started in the Baptist denomination, which led him to Word of Life Bible Institute after two years at Essex Community College studying music. Alan developed a deep passion to minister to teenagers while at Word of Life. He received his BS in Bible with an emphasis in Youth Ministry at Philadelphia Biblical University. Alan was enrolled at Reformed Theological Seminary working towards the completion of his MDiv until no longer permitted to attend due to a change in his theological views.
Deacon: Brennan Courtwright
While searching the Scriptures through his daily studies, the Lord opened his eyes to the truth of Full Preterism. Alan is very passionate about knowing the truth of the Scriptures and is overjoyed by the support of the preterist community and his church family at NCE. He thoroughly enjoys preaching, teaching, and spending time with his beautiful wife, Gail Ann.
You most likely will find Alan watching football during the Fall/Winter season; he is indeed a devout Raven’s Fan!! Alan enjoys watching movies to relax such as Batman Begins, The Dark Night, Lucky Number Sleven, and loves watching the seasons of 24 over and over again. He loves to read, play the game series, Catan, and enjoys the company of his family and friends whenever possible.
Alan is the author of Reading the Bible Through New Covenant Eyes and he is currently working on the sequel, Living Our Lives With New Covenant Eyes.
Deacon: Jeremy DeFrehn
Jeremy is an elder of New Covenant Eyes Church. He is also the NCE Band leader. He is married to his beautiful wife, Denise, and they have a son named Micah. He is from Memphis, Tennnessee, and moved to Fort Myers in 2008. He and his wife met in Seoul, South Korea, where they both spent time teaching in international schools. He enjoys songwriting, drumming, recording, and spending time with his family.
Deacon: Brennan Courtwright Brennan is an elder of New Covenant Eyes Church, and is a native of Fort Myers. He grew up in Fort Myers and went to Evangelical Christian School from preschool through high school. He studied accounting at Florida Gulf Coast University, where he met his beautiful and talented wife Mariel. Brennan and Mariel got married in 2005 and have a daughter named Laney. Brennan enjoys watching and playing all sports, especially golf. He enjoys exercising by doing Crossfit in his free time. Brennan has always loved music and has been an aspiring guitar player his whole life. As it turns out, he is playing the bass guitar in the NCE Band.
